The keys to successful implementation

Business Case

Projects that do not have all key stakeholders bought into the business case will fail. Ixxus' initial consultancy work, therefore, focuses on stakeholder interviews and high level business case analysis. It is also imperative that there is a regular review mechanism, through a project board or whatever, to ensure continued alignment to those expectations.
Solution Architecture and Road Map

Out of the same process will come a high level solution architecture and road map. Together with the business case, this provides the framework for the project next steps and for a long term structure for the business' needs.
Information Architecture

Rarely is enough attention paid to the user context and content analysis. To deliver results, search and content management need an understanding of what problem it is trying to solve, the user's context and use of terminology, how information is classified and processed. It needs context. If you understand these and the content is properly analysed, classified and tagged, you dramatically improve sensitivity and specificity. Ixxus provides Information Architecture consultancy, delivery and ongoing support services.
User Analysis

The importance of the user experience is regularly underestimated. For example to most users, search means a "Google box"; but this alone does nothing to enhance the performance or delivery of search software. A "rich" UI is a core part of the solution, providing intelligent ways for users to get to the relevant information as quickly as possible.
Delivery and Support

Ixxus partners with a number of the leading software vendors in the search and content market. The ability to adapt to client delivery needs, whether on technical requirements or project methodology (waterfall, agile...) is key. In addition, post delivery support is critical to maintaining the relevance and performance of information solutions; this is not a passive set up, but a proactive health check, tuning and information management service.
