We try to work with our clients on a long term basis but we are not prescriptive as to how we work. We might start with high level business and solution architecture consulting to produce a long term solutions architecture road map for the business, or we might go straight into delivering a solution.

We have a full delivery capability in house if it is required, and are more than happy to commit to delivering a complete project. Alternatively we can provide consultants to supplement in-house or outsourced delivery resources if that is more beneficial to our client.

At Ixxus we appreciate that there cannot be a 'one size fits all' approach to project delivery. Each venture that we undertake is unique and we recognize that each customer may wish to engage with us at a different level, in a different style. To this end we have developed a unique approach to running and managing projects based on industry standard methodologies mixed with our flexibility and professional experience.

Typically we manage our projects using Scrum. The benefits of an Agile approach are well-documented promising rapid delivery, maximising business benefit, adapting to change, lowering risk and the visibility of progress through working software. Yet there are often some challenges to being Agile, which arise due to the customer/supplier dynamic where a commercial contractual framework is involved, and fixed expectations for functionality delivered, deadlines, and cost.

By introducing aspects of standard "waterfall" processes, vertical communication alongside realistic budget and deliverables planning, Ixxus are able to offer a 'best fit' methodology to each project. We are aware of concerns over the malleability of a pure agile development process environment and as such work together with our clients to merge with other existing project styles. This enables both fast delivery and a transparency in project status married with identifiable progress and manageability.
