One Day Introduction

We have developed the Alfresco One Day Introduction which involves one of our Senior Consultants visiting your premises and in the space of just one day you will be in a position to make an informed decision on whether Alfresco is potentially the right system for you, allowing you to either move forward with a full proof of concept, pilot or initial implementation. You will have a clear understanding as to what Alfresco can and cannot do for you.

A typical introduction day can include a mixture of demonstration, interviews, discussion, advice and workshops. We build the day around what you want to get out of it. A demonstration of Alfresco can be tailored to suit individual requirements; however the most common areas to look at include: workflow, document management, records management, collaboration and web content management.

The Alfresco One Day Introduction is provided on a fixed price basis at a cost of £995, ex VAT. There may an additional expenses cost for travel and accommodation (this will be confirmed with you before commencement).

Architecture Review

Our Alfresco Architecture Review offers you an independent view of where you are today, where you should be aiming to be and the steps to take to get there – no internal politics to cloud the issues, just clear, honest advice. Zooming out and reviewing the whole environment as a first step has proved invaluable many times over in ensuring that an efficient, successful roadmap of investment and improvement is commenced from day one.

We are experts in the design of enterprise information architectures. We also know that the days of long, expensive consulting engagements that span weeks are a luxury that are typically not affordable in today’s economic climate. Therefore we have designed a comprehensive, yet compact, Alfresco Architecture Review that will ensure you invest wisely, and in the right areas, bringing long term efficiency and productivity gains to your business.

One of our Senior Solution Architects will carry out an intensive 5 day on site audit; the primary deliverables from this are to:

• Carry out a complete review of your key IT systems and processes.
• Interview the primary stakeholders including, as appropriate, members of your IT, sales, marketing, product and senior management teams to gain an understanding of their needs audit existing systems and processes.
• Recommend target system architecture and processes to resolve the primary issues identified by the review.
• Produce a set of suggested steps that will evolve your systems and processes towards the recommended target while supporting your planned business objectives.

Proof of Concept

With the Alfresco Proof of Concept, you will be allocated one of our Senior Consultants for 10 days, in which time we will deliver a conceptual build of an Alfresco system. A typical engagement will normally start with the respective consultant reviewing your functional requirements with you and even spending time interviewing stakeholders to get a greater understanding of the requirements within your organisation.

With a wealth of experience to hand, the consultant can help you clarify your thinking in relation to what you wish to achieve, providing advice on how other implementations of Alfresco have solved certain problems, and suggesting different approaches to common challenges. The consultant will be able to suggest possible solutions and discuss your views and feedback directly with you, before commencing with the design and build of the system – illustrating how each area of functionality will be handled by Alfresco.

The consultant will typically deliver two comprehensive demonstrations of the Proof of Concept. The first at the end of week one (allowing adaption and feedback to be incorporated), and the second at the end of the two weeks – showing users everything that has been built.

Our consultants have designed and implemented numerous Alfresco Proof of Concepts, helping a wide range of disparate companies and organisations evaluate Alfresco against their own specific requirements. As a result, we have developed a lot of additional functionality and code to allow us to rapidly and efficiently implement a strong and robust instance of Alfresco on site, deployed within a clients own domain.

The Alfresco Proof of Concept will deliver a whole range of benefits to you as an organisation:
